Droid Inspector is a tool that shows a 3D view (similar to the 3D view in Firefox Developer Tools) of your app by capturing the bitmap of individual Views, unlike UiAutomatorViewer. It helps visualize the app easily. The tool is aimed at helping developers identify overdraw issues affecting the app. Droid Inspector also shows a box model that helps you make apps pixel perfect. You can switch between 3D and 2D modes to see the perspective view of the app and its overdraw. You can also click on individual properties to see it in the hierarchy and vice versa.
Droid Inspector is available as an Eclipse plugin that integrates with DDMS and a web based plugin. Check out the project page for usage instructions.
